Mr. Carr is the founding President and CEO of the Business Council of Manitoba and has served in this position since 1998.

Mr. James Carr’s career spans a variety of interests. Beginning as an oboe player with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, he became Director of Development with the WSO and then Executive Director of the Manitoba Arts Council. He then graduated with joint honors degrees in History and International Relations from McGill University.

He established a consulting practice, and wrote for the Globe and Mail and Winnipeg Free Press before being hired as Executive Director of External Relations for the University of Winnipeg.

Executive Assistant
Rosy Infantino has been executive assistant to Jim Carr since June 2008.  She is involved in office management, event planning, website creation and maintenance.  Prior to joining the Business Council she worked as a Human Resource Manager and Early Childhood Educator.

RESEARCHER

Ms. Tennenhouse provides research and analysis on a broad array of policy issues for The Business Council of Manitoba including health care initiatives and reforms in Manitoba, research on the energy and environment sector, analysis of immigration into Manitoba, and fiscal issues impacting the province.  She has been associated with the Business Council since 2005.

Aboriginal Education Awards Program Coordinator

Born in Winnipeg, Carol received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Manitoba and her Licentiate in Music from the Western Board of Music. She has a certificate in non-profit management from the Manitoba Institute of Management and completed a business and entrepreneurial skills course offered by the Federal Business Development Bank.
